Homemade pizza dough

Pizza is one of the most consumed dishes in the world! The most difficult step when making homemade is pizza dough. Depending on your taste, it must be thin and crisp (Italian style) or thick and very fluffy (American style).

The most important element in the making of pizza dough is the flour, you need a flour very rich in protein. The ideal is wheat flour type 00. It is the flour used by the best pizzerias that gives pizza dough its qualities.

Also, very important is the resting time, the longer the pizza dough will rest the tastier it will be, never go below 2 hours and I recommend a minimum of 3 to 4 hours. You can prepare your pizza dough the day before and keep it refrigerated. Make sure to take out of refrigerator and bring back to room temperature before using it.

Finally, and most importantly, invest in a pizza stone or cast iron pizza plate, you will have a perfect cooking along with crispy dough. Once you have tried this very easy pizza dough recipe, you will never call for pizza delivery again, believe me!
